More About Angelo
Lisa Goodwin-Allen began her journey at Northcote aged just 20,
Angelo Sato brings intensity and a restless creative energy to everything he does.
At Humble Chicken in Soho, Angelo has taken a concept rooted in Japanese yakitori and pushed it into something far more personal. What began as a celebration of cooking over fire has evolved into a highly focused chef’s table experience, where Japanese technique, European influence and kitchen theatre come together in full view of the guest.
Angelo’s career has been shaped by some of the world’s most demanding kitchens, and you can feel that discipline in the way he approaches flavour, heat and texture. Every course has momentum. Every detail has purpose.
For us at Kasai, Angelo’s approach captures what makes live cooking so powerful. It is about control, flare and timing — using heat with confidence, and turning technique into something that feels expressive and alive.
